PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft sugar coated food product in which there is even coating of soft sugar on a surface even when it has an indeterminate shape, having a crispy sugar coating layer and crispy texture of a porous raw material, namely having preferable texture, so that a person can eat it and enjoy difference between the sugar coating layer and the porous raw material, and a production method thereof capable of producing it at short time while operating in the same way as normal sugar coating.SOLUTION: Provided is the soft sugar coated food product formed by coating a porous raw material being a center with a soft sugar coating layer including liquid coating of sugar liquid including sugar and fat, and powder coating of fine powder and rough powder.
