<p>A display control method, apparatus and terminal device, the method comprising: determining in a display screen a display area to be powered down, and turning off a backlight source for providing backlight to the display area to be powered down. That is to say, the backlight source of a user-designated display area is turned off, which accordingly effectively lowers the power consumption of the display screen of electronic device without any adverse effect upon user experience.</p> |
