The present invention relates to an electrochromic smart window and a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, the electrochromic smart window comprises: a lower substrate: a conductive layer formed on the lower substrate; a lower transparent electrode formed on the conductive layer; a negative electrochromic layer formed on the lower transparent electrode; an ion conductive layer formed on the negative electrochromic layer; a positive electrochromic layer formed on the ion conductive layer; an upper transparent electrode formed on the positive electrochromic layer; and an upper substrate formed on the upper transparent electrode, wherein the ion conductive layer transfers an ion to the negative and positive electrochromic layers when the voltage is applied through the lower and upper transparent electrodes such that the negative electrochromic layer is discolored through a cathodic reaction, and the positive electrochromic layer is discolored through an anodic reaction. On the contrary, the ion conductive layer transfers the ion when the reverse voltage is applied to the ion conductive layer such that the negative electrochromic layer is decolorized through the anodic reaction, and the positive electrochromic layer is decolorized through the cathodic reaction. |
