PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in appearance due to visual recognition of a pattern boundary of a patterned transparent conductive layer in a transparent conductive film, even when a thickness of a base material of the transparent conductive film is reduced down to 80 μm or less.SOLUTION: A production method of the present invention includes: a laminate preparation step of preparing a laminate including an un-patterned transparent conductive layer formed on a flexible transparent base material; a patterning step of removing a part of the transparent conductive layer to pattern a pattern formation part having the transparent conductive layer on the flexible transparent base material and a pattern opening part having no transparent conductive layer on the flexible transparent base material; and a heat treatment step of heating the laminate after the transparent conductive layer has been patterned. An absolute value of a difference H-Hbetween a dimensional change rate Hat the pattern formation part and a dimensional change rate Hat the pattern opening part during the heat treatment step is preferably less than 0.03%.
