PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat frame and a retractable seat for a vehicle capable of easily performing a storing operation, with high assembly workability.SOLUTION: A seat frame F provided to a retractable seat S for a vehicle in which a seat frame 4 and a seat back frame 5 are stored in a folded state includes: a reclining mechanism 10; a seat slide mechanism 20 for sliding the seat frame 4; a slide lock mechanism 30 which is interlocked with the reclining mechanism 10 to prohibit or permit operation of the seat slide mechanism 20; a striker lock mechanism 70; and an assist mechanism 50 for assisting a storing operation and a restoring operation of the retractable seat S for the vehicle. The seat slide mechanism 20 includes: a lower rail 21; an upper rail 22; and a slide energizing member 23 which is interlocked with tilting motion of the seat back frame 5 down to a predetermined angle when storing the retractable seat S for the vehicle, for automatically sliding the upper rail 22. The seat slide mechanism 20 and the slide lock mechanism 30 are attached to the seat frame 4.
