PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant base oil capable of achieving both of viscosity and temperature property and low temperature viscosity property at a high level and excellent in evaporation characteristic and energy saving, a manufacturing method thereof, and a lubricant composition containing the lubricant base oil.SOLUTION: There is provided a hydrocarbon lubricant base oil having an urea adduct value of 4 mass% or less, a viscosity index of 100 or more and the content of a saturated component of 90 mass% or more based on the total amount of the lubricant base oil and a cycloparaffin content, measured by field desorption mass spectrometry, of 30-60 mass% based on the total amount of the saturated component. |
