PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery having superior rapid charge and discharge characteristics and superior cycle characteristics with small irreversible capacity of a first cycle, and suitable for the lithium secondary battery, and to provide the lithium secondary battery.SOLUTION: Paste is obtained by adding and mixing an organic binder and a solvent to graphite particles to constitute a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery to store and release ions and having fine pores to absorb expansion/contraction of the electrode accompanied with storing/releasing of the ions in the interior of the particles. The negative electrode for the lithium secondary battery is obtained by coating the paste to a current collector and by integration. The lithium secondary battery can be obtained by combining a positive electrode with the negative electrode. |
