A side-standing magnetic field motor and a cooling fan using same, which relate to telecommunication device accessory technology, so as to provide a motor capable of effectively and quickly dissipating heat generated by a coil of a side-standing magnetic field motor. The side-standing magnetic field motor comprises a stator, the stator comprising a body (21) and a coil (22) provided on the body (21); the magnetic field motor also comprises a motor base (23) fixing the stator, a heat conduction structure (27) with a heat transfer material is provided on the stator, and the heat conduction structure comes into contact with and is connected to the motor base (23). A fan (61) comprises a fan frame body, a fan base (26) fixedly connected with the fan frame body through a bracket (25), fan blades and the side-standing magnetic field motor. The motor base (23) of the side-standing magnetic field motor is fixedly connected to the fan base (26).
