Abstract The present disclosure is direct to methods and compositions for the treatment of multiple sclerosis using antipsychotic drugs. More specifically, the present disclosure is related to method and compositions for the treatment of multiple sclerosis using atypical antipsychotics such as risperidone, paliperidone or clozapine. Use of a drug with an affinity for both serotonergic 5-HT2 and dopaminergic D2 receptors in the preparation of a medicament for reducing at least one symptom of multiple sclerosis.
