<p>Disclosed is a video encoding method using transformation units of a variable tree structure, comprising: transforming a current region on the basis of the transformation units of a variable tree structure, which is generated on the basis of the 5 maximum division level of transformation units among transformation units divided hierarchically from an elementary transformation unit with respect to the current region, in order to encode the current region of a video; and transmitting transformation unit layer structure information, which includes information on the encoding data and encoding mode of the current region, and information on the maximum size of 0 transformation units for the video and information on minimum size thereof.</p> |
