PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar secondary battery which enables the achievement of a high-capacity arrangement, and the increase in energy density.SOLUTION: A bipolar secondary battery comprises: a laminate 2 arranged by laminating bipolar electrodes 14 with a separator 15 sandwiched therebetween, provided that each bipolar electrode has a positive electrode active material layer 12 formed on one surface of a collector 11 and a negative electrode active material layer 13 formed on the other surface; and seal parts 18 for sealing in an electrolyte between the collectors adjacent to each other in a direction of the lamination of the laminate, which are provided between the collectors along the outer peripheries thereof. In the bipolar secondary battery, the laminate is folded like fanfold to form power-generating elements 10 disposed over each other in the direction of the lamination.
