Disclosed is a QPI packet transmission method, the method comprising: receiving a QPI packet transmitted by a first node, the QPI packet carrying the identifier of a second node; acquiring the identifier of the second node according to the QPI packet, and acquiring the medium access control (MAC) address of the second node according to the identifier of the second node; generating an Ethernet packet, setting the MAC address of the Ethernet packet as the MAC address of the second node, and replacing the payload of the Ethernet packet with the QPI packet; and transmitting the Ethernet packet to the second node via an Ethernet. The present invention encapsulates a QPI packet into an Ethernet packet so as to overcome the defect of the QPI packet capable of being transmitted for only several dozen centimeters, such that any two nodes accessing an Ethernet can be interconnected without passing through other nodes, thus solving the problem in the prior art that the two nodes cannot communicate with each other when any other node fails.
