Provided is a means for mitigating difficulty when a user gives instructions by speech. If a user performs a prescribed operation on a terminal device, the terminal device displays a dialogue screen and waits for voice instructions. When the user does not give voice instructions even if a prescribed period of time has passed since the initial display of the dialogue screen for the waiting state, the terminal device displays text prompting for voice instructions according to the attributes of the user and the attributes of the environment in which the user is placed. Even if the user is uncertain about the content of voice instructions, voice instructions can be made according to the display prompts, thereby allowing voice instructions to be made smoothly.
