The present invention relates to a dish washing the machine and a method to control the dish washing machine. The dish washing machine includes a washing tub having an opening formed on at least one surface; a spray nozzle placed in the washing tub and spraying washing water; a reflecting module moving in the washing tub and reflecting the washing water sprayed from the spray nozzle; and a moving module combined with the reflecting module and moving the reflecting module in at least one direction. The method is capable of controlling a spray position, a spray direction, or a spray angle to make the washing water properly reflected according to the position of the reflecting module.
