Disclosed are a toner and a manufacturing method thereof. The disclosed toner comprises: a core unit including first wax having a melting point of MP_1 and a weight average molecular weight of Mw_1, and a first binder resin; a first shell unit including second wax having a melting point of MP_2 and a weight average molecular weight of Mw_2, and a second binder resin and surrounding the core unit; and a second shell unit including a third binder resin and surrounding the first shell unit, wherein at least one selected from a group comprising the core unit, the first shell unit and the second shell unit contain a coloring agent, and each of the MP1, the MP_2, the Mw_1 and the Mw_2 satisfies respective equation MP_1 < MP_2 and equation Mw_1 < Mw_2.
