<p>The present invention relates to a widely-linear framework for the estimation of an MIMO system. The present invention provides a system and method for modeling and estimating a communication system in the widely-linear framework. The present invention includes the steps of: estimating a first channel matrix and a second channel matrix for the MIMO system including a transmission port and a reception port; determining an output symbol matrix Y; generating a pseudo-inverse matrix; and estimating a first channel matrix H and a second channel matrix G for modeling the MIMO system in the widely-linear framework using the pseudo-inverse matrix and the output symbol matrix Y.</p> |
