PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an A/D converter capable of easily increasing the speed or the resolution or both thereof.SOLUTION: The A/D converter includes: a phase difference clock generation section that generates a multi-phase clock signal in which the phase is displaced relative to a clock signal from an input clock signal and a signal the clock signal of which is delayed by using plural phase interpolators: an A/D conversion section that performs A/D conversion of the input analog signal by using the multi-phase clock signal generated by the phase difference clock generation section. The technique is applicable to, for example, imaging devices and electronic apparatuses.
