Disclosed is a sidewall structure of a hopper car, comprising an integrally formed upper side beam (1), an integrated sidewall panel (2), an integrally formed lower side beam (3), and a lower sidewall (4), wherein the upper side beam (1) is in rivet connection with the integrated sidewall panel (2) therebelow; the sidewall panel (2) is in rivet connection with the integrally formed lower side beam (3) therebelow; the sidewall panel is an integrated panel column structure of wall panel and side column, the side column being arranged at the inner side of the car body; and the lower side beam (3) is in rivet connection with the lower sidewall (4) therebelow. In the sidewall structure of hopper car provided by the present invention, the sidewall panel of the internally installed integrated side column can avoid the reduction in the strength thereof due to the rivet hole, and also avoid the increase in the weight and cost due to the use of rivets, and owing to the internally installed side column, the space between the side columns can be utilized so as to increase the volume of the car body.
