Disclosed are a method, a system and a medical device for compressing a physiological signal suitable for the bio-medical device field. The method for compressing a physiological signal comprises: acquiring a physiological signal (S101); adaptively segmenting the acquired physiological signal to obtain corresponding homogeneous segments (S103); and compressing the obtained homogeneous segments (S105), wherein data compression is performed on the physiological signal by adaptively selecting a corresponding data compression method by using the consistency of the local physical properties of a physiological signal and the difference between various parts, thus resulting in a method, a system and a medical device for compressing a physiological signal, and enabling the compression of data to a relatively large extent and full retention of the physiological signal.
