A display device and method for preparation thereof, the display device comprising a 3D grating and a touch detection unit. The 3D grating comprises a base substrate (10), the base substrate (10) being arranged on the screen side of a display panel (100), and a grating structure and touch detection unit forming a 3D grating between the base substrate (10) and the display panel (100). Simply adding a base substrate (10) allows for the integration of touch detection and 3D display into a single display device, reducing display device thickness and satisfying the requirements of light weight, thinness, and low cost. At the same time, arranging the touch detection unit in the 3D grating is such that the base substrate (10) and display panel (100) need only be mounted in combination to reduce process flow and greatly increase product yield.
