PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the use of a component that can withstand a large current, which is conventionally required because of the possibility of a large current flow from a solar cell string to a switch unit, when an earth detector detects the earth fault of the solar cell string while a power conditioner is operated, for example.SOLUTION: The earth detector includes: a suspension determination unit for determining whether or not a power conversion device for converting power from the solar cell is stopped; and an earth detector unit for detecting, when the suspension determination unit determines that the power conversion device is stopped, the earth fault of the solar cell in a state that the solar cell and the power conversion device are electrically disconnected from each other by disconnection means disposed between the solar cell and the power conversion device. |
