PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup element that generates little false color at an edge part and is capable of obtaining an image output of a high frame rate.SOLUTION: The solid state image pickup device includes: a pixel array in which pixels having color filters containing a plurality of divided pixels having color filters of the same color are arranged in a matrix by following a predetermined color arrangement; an adder circuit for addition averaging a plurality of signals output from the divided pixels included in the plurality of pixels having color filters of a same color. The number of signals output from each divided pixels for which the adder circuit performs addition averaging is different from that of the other pixels for at least one pixel among a plurality of pixels to be targets for addition. |
