<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a failure in contact between a fixing member and a heating member.SOLUTION: A fixing unit includes: a rotary endless fixing belt 61 for fixing a toner image onto a recording sheet; a pressure roll for forming a nip portion with the fixing belt 61, the nip portion allowing the recording sheet retaining an unfixed toner image to pass; a film-type heater 81 that is disposed in contact with an inner circumference of the fixing belt 61 and extending in an axial direction thereof, has a heating layer for heating when applied with power, and heats the fixing belt 61; an attachment part 83 for supporting at least one side of a non-heating zone of the heater 81 in an axial direction; and upstream and downstream belt support parts 71, 72 that are disposed on the inner circumference of the fixing belt 61 and respectively upstream and downstream of the fixing belt 61 relatively to the heater 81 in a moving direction of the fixing belt, and exert pressure on both ends of the fixing belt 61 in the axial direction toward the outer circumferential side of the fixing belt.</p> |
