The invention relates to a method for the continuous synthesis of a functionalised high-cis diene elastomer, characterised in that it comprises the simultaneous steps of: continuous polymerisation in a highly concentrated medium, or bulk, of at least one diene monomer in the presence of a catalytic coordination system, until at least 60% conversion is achieved in a polymerisation reactor dimensioned such that the standard deviation of the distribution function of the residence time in the reactor is greater than the average residence time divided by 2√3; continuous functionalisation of the pseudo-living elastomer obtained from the polymerisation, by reaction with a functionalisation agent in a mixer, for example of the self-cleaning type. The synthesis method, for use in a highly concentrated medium, offers increased productivity, in particular allowing a high conversion rate of up to 100% and functionalisation rates of at least 70% to be achieved, as well as allowing performance flexibility. |
