PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which achieves high heat radiation performance and high dielectric strength voltage even if multiple light emitting elements are mounted in high density when the light emitting device is used with high output, and to provide a lighting device.SOLUTION: A light emitting device 1 includes multiple light emitting elements 6. The light emitting device 1 includes: a heat diffusive member 4 on which the multiple light emitting elements are mounted; an insulative member 2 having a recessed part 3 formed by a side wall 3a and a bottom wall 3b, the insulative member which fits in the heat diffusive member 4 with a bottom surface of the heat diffusive member placed in contact with a surface of the bottom wall of the recessed part; and a circuit board 7 provided on the heat diffusive member and having a circuit for supplying electric power to the multiple light emitting elements. |
