<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new blood glucose level elevation inhibitor having an α-amylase inhibiting action. <P>SOLUTION: The new α-amylase inhibitor includes, as the active ingredient, at least one selected from theasinensins and epitheaflavic acids, and has high versatility to be widely applicable to food and drink, medicine, quasi-drug, health food, and nutritional supplement.
