<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine for increasing value added by achieving performance display differing from before. <P>SOLUTION: An image display part 114 includes: a transparent liquid crystal cell 10 for displaying a prescribed image; a shutter 20 for mutually changing between a closed state and an open state; and a light source part 30 including an LED emitting light toward the transparent liquid crystal cell 10. When the shutter 20 is closed, the light source part 30 is allowed to function as backlight for easily and visually identifying the prescribed image displayed on the transparent liquid crystal cell 10. When the shutter 20 is open, the light source part 30 is allowed to function as a performance display means of performing performance display by the LED.
