The present invention provides an apparatus for inspecting surfaces of roll-type laminates, comprising: an image acquiring system (50) and an illumination system (40) for inspection of surfaces of roll-type laminates (10); a first separation distance measuring system (45) to measure the separation distance between the illumination system (40) and an inspection surface of the roll-type laminates (10) of which the diameter increases; a second separation distance information processing means (55, 55′) to acquire and process materials required for controlling the separation distance between the image acquiring system (50) and the inspection surface of the roll-type laminates (10) of which the diameter increases; and a drive system (60) provided to move the illumination system (40) or the image acquiring system (50), respectively, in accordance with a signal received from the first separation distance measuring system (45) or the second separation distance information processing means (55, 55′) to maintain the separation distance between the illumination system (40) or the image acquiring system (50) and the inspection surface of the roll-type laminates (10) of which the diameter increases.
