<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can improve efficiency in energy saving of a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A MFP includes: a printer which can perform intensive printing for printing a reduced image in areas formed by dividing one screen of a recording medium into two areas; paper feeding cassettes 13a-13d for receiving a recording medium for each pattern of unprinted areas; and a print control means for controlling the printer. When the printer is caused to print based on the print data specifying the intensive printing, the print control means causes the printer to obtain the recording medium from a paper feed cassette corresponding to the number of papers for unprinted images based on the print data and causes the printer to print the reduced image of the unprinted image in the unprinted area of the recording medium. The paper feed cassettes corresponding to the number of papers are the paper feed cassettes 13b, 13d corresponding to the pattern in which the number of unprinted areas is the same as the number of papers when the number of papers is 3 or 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
