The present invention relates to a piezoelectric actuator and a method thereof. The piezoelectric actuator according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a waveform synthesis unit which outputs a digital signal by using a preset lookup table; a digital analog conversing unit which outputs at least one from a symmetric waveform or an asymmetric waveform by using the digital signal; and a control unit which controls output of the digital analog conversing unit according to external output to control output of the asymmetric waveform.
