The present invention relates to: a display device integrated with a touch screen which can enhance touch sensing performance (touch sensitivity and touch sensing accuracy) by increasing touch sensing time; and a method for operating the same. In the method for operating the display device integrated with a touch screen, which is an in-cell-touch type and includes a plurality of touch blocks consisting of a common electrode formed on pixels of a liquid crystal panel, a plurality of touch groups comprises a plurality of touch blocks formed on the same horizontal line, and display driving and touch sensing driving are linked with each other by a touch group unit. Touch sensing driving is executed during a period except a display driving period of pixels constituting the touch group.
