<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently saccharifying cellulosic biomass by developing microorganism which produces enzyme having high saccharifying ability with respect to the cellulosic biomass, and using the enzyme produced by the microorganism, and to produce a method of producing ethanol by fermenting the produced and saccharified cellulosic biomass. <P>SOLUTION: A transformant is obtained by introducing aβ-glucosidase gene derived from the microorganism belonging to the genus Aspergillus into the microorganism belonging to the genus Trichoderma. The cellulosic biomass can be efficiently saccharified by using the saccharified enzyme produced by the transformant.
