The present invention relates to a polarizer wherein a difference in a maximum value and a minimum value of a contrast range with respect to the thickness direction thereof is less than or equal to 10, a method for manufacturing the same, a polarizing plate including the same, and an optical display apparatus including the same. In the polarizer, the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the contrast range with respect to the thickness direction is less than or equal to 10 and the thickness thereof is 3 to 15 μm.
