<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of preventing a protective cover from easily being cracked and suppressing deterioration in display quality of a display panel. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes a display panel 1 having a display surface adapted to display an image, first and second transparent adhesive materials 5, 7, a tabular glass protective plate 6, and a tabular resin protective plate 8. The glass protective plate 6 covers and protects the display surface, and the first transparent adhesive material 5 bonds the display surface and the glass protective plate 6.
