In the specification of the present invention, disclosed is an apparatus for injecting an additive in a ballast water treatment system on a ship for preventing reverse flow from a hazardous area to a safe area to ensure the safety of a line for injecting an additive and to monitor and alert the reverse flow of ballast water on a ship having an electrolysis-type ballast water treatment system. The apparatus for injecting an additive according to the present invention is an apparatus for feeding an additive into a main ballast line (10) on ship ballast water system, which comprises: a barrier (2) partitioning a safe area (A1) from a hazardous area (A2) including the main ballast line (4) through which the ballast water flows; an additive feeding unit (100a) including an additive storage tank (100) in the safe area (A1); an additive injecting line (101) extending from the additive storage tank (100) to penetrate through the barrier (2) and then be connected to the main ballast line (4); an injecting pump (110) installed on the additive injecting line (101) inside the additive feeding unit (100a); a back pressure valve (120) installed on the additive injecting line (101) at the downstream of the injecting pump (110) inside the additive feeding unit (100a); a control valve (130) installed at the downstream of the back pressure valve (120) inside the additive feeding unit (100a) to control the flow amount of the additive flowing through the additive injecting line (101); and reverse flow preventing valves (140, 160) installed respectively on the additive injecting line (101) in the upstream and the downstream of the barrier (2).
