摘要 The present invention provides an extended footbridge with an increased passage width and a construction method for the same for increasing the length of a supporting beam of a footbridge for conveying the weight of the footbridge to the side of a bridge, increasing the passage width, dispersing the vertical weight given to the supporting beam of the footbridge, and enhancing the construction safety. The extended footbridge with an increased passage width according to a desirable embodiment of the present invention comprises: a supporting beam of the footbridge placed on a side wall of a top slab of the bridge with a certain interval in the lengthwise direction to stretch in the direction of the bridge width; a pillar support settling unit bound to the end of the supporting beam of the footbridge for increasing the footbridge width for a certain length; a pillar support mounted on the top surface of the pillar support settling unit; a floor plate support fixture placed on the top surface of the supporting beam of the footbridge with a certain interval in the widthwise direction; a floor plate installed on the top surface of the floor plate support fixture; a guardrail pillar established on the pillar support with a certain interval; and a number of guardrails installed on the guardrail pillar in the lengthwise direction.
