The present invention relates to a preparation method for metal nanowires having high conversion rate, selection ratio, and aspect ratio, and a low length variation by adjusting the use of additives during the preparation of nanowires in a solution. Lanthanum based metallic salts are used as the additives as they contain a great deal of negative ions to be applicable to the preparation of nanowires having the desired properties as described above. A small amount of the additives is effective in the preparation of nanowires when compared with existing additives.
