<p>A shoe 1 comprising a foot receiving portion 2 and a heel 6 extending downwardly from a heel end of the foot receiving portion; and a skirt portion 12 into which the shoe portion may be inserted and retained, the skirt portion having a base with a toe end and a heel end and having upstanding side walls around at least a heel end, wherein the height of the side walls of the skirt portion at the heel end thereof is at least as high as the heel of the shoe portion so that, when the shoe portion is inserted in the skirt portion, the heel of the shoe portion is substantially entirely surrounded and obscured by the side walls of the skirt portion. The skirt portion may give the shoe the appearance of a wedge type shoe. The skirt may be connected to the heel via a threaded bore and shaft. Also claimed is a shoe arrangement having first and second interchangeable soles.</p> |
