<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which: it has been difficult to provide an image forming apparatus that includes proper primary transfer characteristic and a second transfer characteristic, while reducing the number of voltage power supplies for applying voltage to a primary transfer member. <P>SOLUTION: Current supplied from a current supply member flows in a circumferential direction of an intermediate transfer belt, so that toner images are primary-transferred from an image carrier to the intermediate transfer belt in a plurality of primary transfer units. First voltage that is applied to a toner charging member by a second voltage power supply during passage of a transfer material through a second transfer unit is made larger than a second voltage that is applied to the toner charging member before the transfer material reaches the second transfer unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
