PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good inkjet recording sheet having superior ink absorbency without any surface crack and coping with full-color recording having high image sharpness and proper glossiness with little powder drop caused by cutting by a cutter, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing an inkjet recording sheet including an ink receiving layer on a surface of a support and a glossiness developing layer on a surface of the topmost surface layer of the ink receiving layer, coating liquid for forming the ink receiving layer includes synthetic amorphous silica as pigment, coating liquid for forming the glossiness developing layer includes inorganic fine particles as pigment and polyvinyl alcohol as a binder, wherein the mass ratio between the inorganic fine particles and the polyvinyl alcohol is 100/8 to 100/25, and a glossiness developing layer forming step includes a coating step, a gelation treatment step, the drying step of drying the coating layer without bringing the coating layer into pressure contact with a cast drum, and a calender step. |
