PTFE HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a PTFE hollow fiber membrane, the invention comprising the steps of: (1) mixing polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) powder and a liquid lubricant so as to prepare a PTFE paste; (2) preparing a hollow fiber PTFE billet by compressing the PTFE paste; (3) extruding and molding the PTFE billet to a PTFE tube; (4) removing the liquid lubricant by heating the PTFE tube; and (5) elongating the PTFE tube by 1.1 to 1.7 times and sintering thereof so as to prepare the PTFE hollow fiber membrane. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a pressure resistance of a longitudinal direction and a shrinkage of a horizontal direction without increasing production costs and without increasing an outer diameter of the PTFE hollow fiber membrane.
