The present invention relates to a water-containing rail and a window frame for a window with the same. The window frame for a window having the water-containing rail includes a base window frame installed on a wall surface of a building; the water-containing rail inserted and fixed to the base window frame and composed of first and second rails; an inner rail unit with third and fourth rails inside the water-containing rail; a screen joined to the outer side of the base window frame; a water containing unit formed between the first and second rails of the water-containing rail; an insulation cover formed on the water containing unit; an upper drain to discharge rainwater received in the water containing unit; and a lower drain to discharge rainwater which is not discharged through the upper drain and received inside the building.
