<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device which can effectively guide a user to a recommended object according to movement of the user and a scale of a displayed map. <P>SOLUTION: A navigation device 100 displaying a current position of a user A on a map on a display screen comprises a road map information storage unit 21 and a POI information storage unit 22. The navigation device 100 is configured to: locate a current position of the user A based on road map information; determine a search range for POIs (a range of the displayed map, for example) based on the located current position; search for POI information indicating the POIs existing within the determined search range; create output information indicating output contents and output order of a predetermined number of pieces or more pieces of POI information and positions of the POIs on the map indicated by the respective pieces of POI information, on determining that the number of pieces of the obtained POI information is equal to or more than a predetermined number; display predetermined images at positions of POIs on the map according to the output order based on the created output information; and search for POI information anew according to movement of the user A to a position that meets predetermined conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
