<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pulse multiplex unit capable of emitting an optical pulse train with high coupling efficiency and arbitrarily setting a pulse interval of the optical pulse train, and to provide an optical pulse generator using the optical pulse multiplex unit, and an optical pulse multiplexing method. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pulse multiplex unit includes a half mirror 2, and N number of delay elements 311, 312, ..., and 31N with a refraction index of n. The respective N number of delay elements are disposed on one side of the half mirror 2 from one end to the other end and have mutually different thicknesses ofΔ, 2Δ, ..., and 2<SP POS="POST">N-1</SP>Δrespectively, whereΔis a minimum thickness. The optical pulse multiplex unit further includes mirrors 11 and 12 disposed in parallel to each other. The half mirror 2 is disposed at an adjacency of the intermediate position of the mirrors 11 and 12 in parallel thereto, and the N number of delay elements are disposed between the mirror 12 and the half mirror 2. Each of the N number of delay elements is a parallel-plane plate, and the normal direction of the surface of the parallel-plane plate is disposed at an angle different from the direction heading from one end to the other end of the half mirror 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
