[Class 108 (ii)] An extension consisting of two longitudinal panels 7, one on each side, is interposed between the body 6 and an undercarriage employing helical springs 19 and upper and lower longitudinals 10, 14. The panels 7 which may be of plywood are connected by cross boards 11 and are provided with battens 8 to which the longitudinals 10 are screwed. The ends of the longitudinals 10 are bent outwards and are secured by rivets to the springs 19 and to the short arms of single brackets 13, the long arms of which are screwed to the panels. |
