The present invention relates to a display device having a direct-type backlight unit and a manufacturing method thereof. The disclosed invention comprises: a lower cover to which elements constituting a backlight unit are mounted; a plurality of fixed guide units formed on a bottom surface of the lower cover and formed by projecting in a vertical direction from the bottom surface; an LED array disposed on a bottom surface inside the lower cover and supported by having one end fixedly hung by the fixed guide unit; a reflection sheet positioned among LED light sources of the LED array and having a plurality of LED light source insertion holes such that the LED light source can be inserted and projected; an optical sheet disposed above an upper part of the lower cover and spaced apart from the LED array; and a liquid crystal panel disposed in an upper part of the optical sheet. |
