<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine which can increase excitement and enjoyment of a game by a process in which a special performance is executed and the execution itself of the special performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the slot machine which is controllable in a series of advantageous periods including a preparation AT and an ART, one of characters A to H is selected and made to appear according to a winning status in a series of the advantageous periods, and a special bonus performance which is selectable only when all the characters C to H appear as bonus performances can be selected.
