Provided is a liquid crystal display device. The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel of displaying an image; and a backlight unit of supplying light to the liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal panel includes red, green, and blue color filters. The backlight unit includes a light emitting diode which emits white light. The red color filter has an x color coordinate of 0.667-0.675. The light emitting diode has a peak wavelength range of 660 nanometers or more.
