A butterfly valve according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a body forming a pipe conduit to flow a fluid; a disc unit installed in the pipe conduit to be able to rotate and opening and closing the pipe conduit according to rotation; and a sealing unit sealing a gap between the body and disc unit. The sealing unit includes a coupling unit joined to the body; an extension unit separated away from the inner circumference of the body limiting the pipe conduit and extended from the coupling unit at a predetermined length to be parallel to the inner circumference of the body; and a contact unit having one end joined to the extension unit and formed to be in contact with the disc unit.
