<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic generator configured to generate power via magnet vibration which can efficiently generate power even via a small amplitude vibration. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic generator includes: a magnet assembly in which a plurality of permanent magnets are laminated such that magnetization is in the direction of lamination and identical pole faces are opposed to each other; and a first solenoid coil positioned around a side surface of the magnet assembly. The magnet assembly is configured to be repositioned relative to the first solenoid coil. A holding section holds the magnet assembly such that, in a stationary state, a plane position of the magnet assembly where the identical pole faces are opposed to each other matches a middle of the first solenoid coil with respect to a winding axis direction, and a second solenoid coil is opposed to at least one of axially upper and lower end faces of the magnet assembly.
